Attention to the child within

Ponder on this: Dis-ease is a state where your body is simply crying. Like a child does when he or she wants attention, your body does the same. Your inner child is crying for attention because you are not giving it the vital love it needs. You are neglecting it. Attention is energy. To be present and give attention to your thoughts and your body is a necessity; a requirement, especially in this age where we have the illusion of not having enough time to be present with¬†ourself. A balance must be sought as to not give an excessive amount because our Self can become addicted to such attention. Love can be quite addicting… Giving enough to show our Self love, compassion and attention, this is consciousness. This week, when you take your 10 minutes a day to pause, begin paying attention to your Self, not just your body, not just your mind or thoughts. Try paying attention to both, equally and in harmony. Learn to love and cherish yourself fully, without guilt, without restraint. Find the light that shines within and burn it brightly. Show yourself the unconditional love you are made up of. Try it, it only takes a few minutes a day. I know I will¬†smile emoticon. Much...

Play on words

Ponder on this: The word disease is in fact two words, dis-ease, signifying a disharmony within our body, mind and emotions, and consciousness. Something I have repeated over and over again for quite a while. However, the word “patient” can also be broken down to paz-siente, meaning “feeling peace within”. If we as therapeutics (I use this word knowing that it is not correct English, but because we, those in the field of healing, need to learn to be therapeutic and no longer therapists, acupuncturist, healers, doctors etc…) can find the mechanism in which the patient can find his or her own inner calmness, we have accomplished the first and most important step toward healing. This is the greatest reason to why meditation is medicine. If we, patients and therapeutics, can find and be within our inner calmness for a few minutes every day, we can truly become healers; architects of our own “self”, and ambassadors to those around us. A perfect example of this is when a mother embraces her child, the baby stops crying. The mother is being the light needed to hide the darkness in which the baby cannot find it’s peace. This is not just a concept of belief, it is truth in awareness. Be with yourself. Shine your light. Love that light that you radiate outward, and engulf the world around you. Much love to you...

Compassion

Compassion… what a tricky word. In reality, if you break it down com = con, meaning with, passion = wholeheartedness. A concept so easily attained in theory, yet, immensely difficult to obtain and hold on to. Living in a world with so much pride and ego, it is no wonder to me that we have so many masters, guides and teachers attempting to show us this way of life. I find myself pondering on this idea as I feel I have lost perspective in my path toward obtaining and holding onto Compassion. I could blame it on being a Virgo, and wanting to be in control of everything around me. Knowing the answers and helping myself and those around me has always been my objective, however, it still remains my ego and pride at hand… And it is a lie! Only I can take full responsibility of straying from my path, embracing my ego, my pride, without judgement. Living wholeheartedly means living in a world where one does not have room for personal gain. Whole, with open heart and arms is my way, it generates my growth, my wisdom, my compassion. And, as I grow, I take hand in hand those I love, so that we may flourish together, as one… One unit, one unity, one Humanity. As I make the choice to reclaim my concept of Compassion, I invite all people of GoodWill, those who I call friends and loved ones, to take each other hand in hand, and ascend our awareness, our consciousness to a place where we are all brothers and sisters on this planet, in this vast Universe. It is time to open our hearts, without fear, without prejudices. It is time to love and be loved in return. As we grow, one by one, we all flourish as One! Ponder on this. And, remember to give a loved one a true hug, today and everyday. Much love to you all and thank you for being my greatest...

The Child Within

When we are in our natural state of being, we are all living within happiness and joy. An example of this would be a new born baby. Fun pores into his/her senses each time he/she sees, hears, smells, tastes and feels something new and for the first time. What if we could take a moment each day and go back to that state, where we can perceive everything for the first time? Find the laughter within each experience… I invite all who wish to take 10 minutes each day, be in that very moment 100%, live each mili-second within your inner child. Oh, and it’s ok to laugh at the experience. Enjoy and much love to all!
